1. Who We Are

Team Pet (“we,” “our,” “us”) is the data controller for the personal information collected through the Team Pet mobile application and its related services (the “App”).

We do not collect sensitive personal data unless you voluntarily include it in a chat or pet note.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their independent marketing.

4. Children & COPPA Compliance

Team Pet is intended for all ages; however, children under 13 may only create an account with verifiable parental consent. If we discover that a child has registered without such consent, we will delete the account and associated data. Parents or guardians may review or delete a child’s information by emailing us at teampet@myyahoo.ccom.

5. Third-Party Processors (Sub-Processors)

We use trusted service providers that process data strictly on our behalf:

Each processor is bound by a Data Processing Agreement (“DPA”) that incorporates the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.

6. International Data Transfers

Your information is stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., especially from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on:

• Contract necessity (Art. 49 (1)(b)) and

• EU Standard Contractual Clauses with our processors

to legally transfer your data.

7. Data Retention

• Account & Pet Data: kept until you delete your account. Deletion triggers immediate removal from production databases.

• Chat History: retained while your account exists, then erased upon account deletion.

• System Logs & Crash Reports: stored for up to 30 days for troubleshooting, then anonymized or deleted.

• No separate backups are retained beyond these periods.

8. Your Privacy Rights

We will verify your request (e.g., via a logged-in action or email confirmation) and respond within the timeline required by law.

9. Security Measures

• Encrypted traffic (HTTPS/TLS 1.2+)

• Role-based access control and least-privilege keys

• Server-side encryption at rest (AES-256) for stored files and databases

• Regular vulnerability scans and dependency patching

No system is 100 % secure, but we follow industry standards set out in U.S. state security statutes (e.g., Cal. Civ. Code §1798.81.5) and in ISO 27001-aligned best practices.

10. Marketing Emails & Newsletters

We send newsletters only if you opt in. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email or by changing your preference in the App. Transactional messages (e.g., password resets) are necessary for service delivery and cannot be opted out of.

Google Play Data Safety answers mirror the above: we collect “Personal Info,” “Photos & Videos,” “Messages,” “App Performance,” and “Device or Other IDs” solely for App functionality and analytics, with no data sharing outside our processors.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will email you at least 7 days in advance and may show an in-App notice. Continued use of the App after the Effective Date means you accept the revised Policy.
